253. Wreath on insignia (Newberry)

Length of circumference 0.31. Length of leaves 0.035.

Wreath composed of leaves of the olive, cornflowers & ...x... bound on to a narrow strip of papyrus pith (0.004 wide) by two narrower strips of papyrus pith (0.002 wide). The olive leaves are arranged alternately front and back showing the green and silver surfaces alternately. For details of binding see below.
