POSITION:
Resting upon the west end of the black box of Osiris (288); lid partially open.

DIMENSIONS:
Max. L. 68; Max. H. (including lid) 51; Max. W. 48.3, cms.

DESCRIPTION:
A plain wooden box; having styles, rails and panels; stands upon four square feet; has a
cornice and torus moulding round the top edges; lid gable-shaped.
In place of knobs on front end of box and lid are rough wooden pegs to which, originally,
cords and seals were attached - the broken seals had been dropped on the lid of box (288); they
show the following impression:
