Be a part of our future
The Griffith Institute works to inspire and educate scholars, students, and enthusiasts from around the world. Your contribution will help preserve and expand our collections, support research, and ensure that future generations can explore the rich history of ancient Egypt.
The core costs of the Griffith Institute are supported in part by Professor Francis Llewellyn Griffith’s original endowment. However, we rely on philanthropy to develop new projects and expand our work.
There are several ways to make a lasting impact:
General donations to the Griffith Institute
The Griffith Institute welcomes donations at any level towards its general funds, which we can use towards our priorities, from digitising late 19th century studio photographs to transcribing Amelia A. B. Edwards’s correspondence, or conserving the fragile notebooks of Howard Carter.
Donations to specific projects
You can contact us directly if you are thinking of supporting a specific project, such as the Topographical Bibliography, the Online Egyptological Bibliography, or a particular collection or group of materials (e.g. watercolours) in the Griffith Institute Archive: griffith.institute@ames.ox.ac.uk.A Gift in your will to the Griffith Institute
