(i) Sandal of leather. Sole of raw hide. Pair to (h). L foot. N. end of box.

<> Thong

Toe thong 6 cm. from toe point. This was a stick 8mm. in diam., covered with bark either natural or applied. Fastened to this there were gold hollow caps, 7 mm. in diam. at intervals of 1.3 cm.

Buckle Thin leather(?) on base of papyrus. Extra piece <> shape at back in front to strengthen. Decoration of flower design embossed in leather, with gold caps as flowers. Border pattern <> in leather. Decoration of side similar. Lower part bound with strips of bark or papyrus.

Treatment: Treated remains of tops with solution of Canada balsam in xylene by means of a pipette.
