22 Large Statue in black and gold

1. Position

On east side of the doorway to the sepulchral chamber. Original position.

2. Dimensions

Base 99 x 33.5 x 16.5 high.

Figure Max. H. 173.2 = 5'8 1/4": ?actual life size.

W. at shoulders 45. Diam. of waist 71.

Spread of kilt in front 55.

3. Description

Wood (?variety) covered with gesso & black resin. The flesh parts - i.e. face, pper part of body, arms and legs and the whole of the base are covered with black resin (original colour). No gesso except where corners were filled out.

The remainder of the statue - head-dress, kilt, collar and armlets, overlaid with gold, on gesso on cloth.
