Diam. at top 8.3 Diam. of handle 1.9.

Top and 1cm. down side covered with gesso. This overlaid with a thick coating of glue ? Originally covered with gold (?) From A-A had apparently also been covered with something.

Treatment Washed wood with damp sponge. Sprayed gesso & wood with solution of celluloid in amylacetate.
