Basis of this band is black, i.e. the gummy substance with which bow was covered. On this the gold pattern & hieroglyphs were stuck: not inlaid.

alpha. Plain black beta. Gold rope pattern gamma. Inscription running round bow: heading outwards <> delta. Like beta epsilon. Like alpha O. Plain gold P. Like N. with inscription heading outwards, top <> Q. Plain gold.
