48 (i 2) Compound bow with bark decoration.

1:10 <> A B C D E F G H I Usual notch.

L. 120 W. in middle 2 x 1.8 thick: at middle of reverse curve 2 x 1.5: below notch 1.2 x .8: at notch 1.4 x 1.4. Stick entirely covered with bark, so construction could not be noted. Decoration A. Plain black, with dark yellow at extreme tip. B. Patterns in two shades of yellow & green on a dark red ground. C. Plain dark yellow, with a band of black on outer side, on which there was an inscription in dark yellow. Band was 13 long, and began 3.7 from D. Hieros heading to end of bow.
