Handlist description: Compound bow decorated with coloured barks

48 (j) Two compound bows tied up in cloth.

These were wrapped up with a bandage about 7 wide. An end of the bandage was doubled down one end of the two bows about 5. It was then wound round and round both bows for complete length, and tied in a loose knot at the other end.
