48 (m) Wooden staff with ivory top.

Hard wood, dark reddish brown in colour. Diam below handle 2: at middle 2.6: at three quarters 2.8: tapering to a rough point at end.

17 down from handle a band of gesso covered with glue. Had been covered with gold(?). Badly warped & split. No inscription.

Washed with damp sponge. Knob re-fastened with celluloid cement - also loose piece of wood.
