Stick of hard dark wood. L. 1.34. Half way down band of metal 6.5 wide, to hide flaw? Bottom of stick roughly pointed: no ferrule. Band of metal stuck on with Canada balsam dissolved in xylol.

Stick of hard dark wood, almost black. L. 1.05. Cap at top of solid ivory. Bottom roughly pointed: no ferrule.

Stick of hard dark wood. L. 1.28 Cap of solid ivory. Bottom roughly pointed: no ferrule. Stick had split greater part of way down. Starting 34 down bound round 9 times with a strip of reed(?).
