(k) Cont. Braces A series of hollow shell rectangles of gold with cloisonné of faience and agate or carnelian. <> <> Centres alternate bars & solids, order being blue faience, bars, carnelian, bars, etc. Bars in bar squares were gold, green faience, gold, agate, gold, green faience etc. Side chevrons ran green faience, gold, blue, gold, agate, gold, blue, gold, green, etc. On either side 2 thread rings soldered on. At upper ends of 2 pieces a tube similar to those on clasp for attachment to it. At top and bottom in middle of back 2 extra thread rings similar to those on clasp. Width ranges from 2.5 - 1.7: depth from 1.7 - 1.5. On either side of braces a string of gold disc beads. Lowest square of brace cut at an angle to fit top of upper band.
