Doubtful point in the reconstruction is the position of the gold bars. With exception of one all had threading holes corresponding with threading holes in feathers. The one exception had at top 3 holes widely spaced, corresponding with upper band holes, & below close together as in feathers. Natural place to put the bars would be at sides, but impossible to get equal lengths, as one was only half proper size & other three quarters. This difference in length could be accounted for by placing at back & front, where length of garment was different. So placed provisionally in photograph.

Another doubtful point is bottom edge. How was slant achieved with a straight up & down pattern?

Treatment. Stuck in a few of the larger loose pieces with celluloid cement: cleaned many of separate parts with benzine & soft brush & some with water & soft brush.
