Thickness of blade .7 approx. Socket oval in section .8. Socket had been covered with gold leaf. Blade bound with leather; from end a thong about 9 long had projected, tapering to a point. One peg hole, or possibly to take this thong, in blade.

A similar bolt found with chariot harness.
