curved wooden slats fastening to side beams of frame, 8 cm. wide, 1 cm. thick. Slung in this there was a wooden leg support. ? why only one support, as the other would be hardly likely to have disappeared. May have been so that occupant could raise either end of bed, whichever he preferred. This leg support consisted of solid blocks, square in section, joined by a round pole. Top had hole rounded on one side <>
