The carved open-work device comprises: a large figure of the ideograph hh, kneeling upon a nwb-sign; and holding the rnpt-hfn symbols in each hand, upon the R. arm hangs an cnh, and on the head the solar-disk with uraei; in front and behind the hh figure the golden-Horus name of the King; the top and bottom rails, and side stiles, are decorated with an incised hieroglyphic text (see note by A.H.G); and on the uppermost rail of all is the winged solar disk of embossed sheet-gold, surmounting the whole design, and between the prenomen and nomen of Tut-ankh-Amen.

Seat - curved, and formed of five slats fitted into the frame-work.

Legs - Feline form, comprising the fore and hind limbs. They have a wood rail running round the four sides; they are strengthened by two wood angle-pieces on the front and the back; and between the rails and seat the sm3-group (mostly missing, being torn away by robbers) in open work and plated with gold.
