1. Position S.E. corner of chamber: behind chariot 161

2. Dimensions L. H.30.5: spread at bottom 23.

3. Description B & C. Separate pieces of wood, covered with gesso, & gilt on one leg outside as far as (a). A. a cylinder of alabaster (calcite). Running down through A B & C a bronze nail, bent over at bottom: Head of it covered with gold leaf. Oval hole in one leg lined with bronze: hole in other leg <>, not lined. The gold leaf was on the leg with the metal lined hole.

Second saddle exactly similar, but H. 30 & spread at bottom 22. Tomb number 169.
