Diam. 2 at top: 1.5 at bottom. A very heavy dark coloured cane. A. Gold leaf on very thin coat of gesso. B. Band of thicker gold without gesso, with rope pattern. C. Cartouche incised <> D. Plain E. Band of gold, with rope pattern at top, straight on wood?

Sprayed ends with celluloid in amyl acetate: washed with water
