141 Rush basket with partitions

3. Description
Corner posts of reed 1 in diam.
Frame top & bottom of similar, lashed to corner posts.
Additional upright in centre of each side.
Round this frame a succession of thin reeds were bound horizontally, junctions coming in
middle of sides, where they were held by a bindings which ran down vertically, and
were themselves held in position by fastening at intervals to the side uprights. Three on each
side, one each end.
The whole basket thus made was covered by strips of papyrus about 2.5 wide, running round
horizontally. The width that covered rim was bound to the frame.
Nothing now to show how rest was fastened.
