papyrus and lotus of the calcite standards of serpentine. On the front of the neck of the vase the following legend:-

The details upon the Hapi figures are in dark blue paint; their kilts of ivory. The symbolical flanking ornament has thin gold foil calix decoration.

The trellis openwork pedestal of cavetto cornice and torus moulding, rest upon four legs of rectangular shape and toed with copper. On its four sides, between the frieze and rail, is an open fret-work device: the cartouche of the King upon a nub-sign flanked with solar hawks, upon nub-signs, and uaz-sceptres, the details are painted with dark blue.
