west.

DESCRIPTION:
Represents a carvel-built boat, with stem and stern pieces; deck; central cabin; overhanging
forecastle and poop decks with 'look-outs'; and paddle steering gear upon crutches and
cross-beams.
Made out of a log of wood; the stem and stern pieces of separate pieces of wood; shaped
and planed with an adze.

The two ends (stem and stern) rise in a curved line and end with blunt ends. The stem and
stern pieces form under the bows and stern a ridge like keel pieces which gradually melt
into the rounded bottom of the boat.

The main deck, 51.5 cents in length, is very slightly cambered, and has a bulwark 1 cent.
