343 SQUAT-GLOBULAR-SHAPED VASE (CALCITE)

POSITION: Lying on a mass of objects and stones in front of doorway of chamber (see photo 1135). DIMENSIONS: Max. H. 22.8 cents; Max. width, 31 cents; diam. of lip 22.5, cents.

DESCRIPTION: A heavy squat-globular-shaped vase wrought in calcite. Bowl flattened; slight circular foot; longish diverging neck; wide lip. No ornamentation.

REMARKS: Traces of a stopper having been luted to opening. Parts of pith and linen binding around neck - (see photo 1135) lip badly chipped on one side - traces of it having been mended anciently.
