359 A SINGLE-HANDLED JAR (CALCITE).

POSITION: Resting upon some wine jars, below right hand door-jamb of doorway of chamber - (see photos 1135, 1137, 1138, 1139, 1140).

DIMENSIONS: Max. H. 39.8 cents; Max. width 26.5 cents.

DESCRIPTION: A single-handled jar, with short neck, wide lip, and flat handle. Wrought of calcite. Round shoulders; straight converging sides; flat bottom; short neck; wide lip; broad flat handle with imitative attachment around neck. No ornamentation. No inscription.

REMARKS: Contents robbed - small amount of residue on bottom (see sample). Traces of linen binding and wax luting around mouth for stopper. Lip chipped.
