362. WINE-JAR

POSITION: Against wall under threshold of doorway of chamber - (see photo 1137).

DIMENSIONS: (Jar broken) H. of seal 22.5 cents.

DESCRIPTION: Buff pottery wine jar; two loop handles; large clay seal covering mouth and neck - (see specimen photo of this seal). The jar badly crushed from weight of stones and material thrown upon it as well as from ill usage. Bears four impressions on sides and two on top of seal - (see type of seal P.) Has large gas-hole in seal. Bears hieratic docket on shoulder - (see photo of fragment). For type see No. 571.

REMARKS: Only seal and docket preserved.
