367. WOODEN BOX

POSITION: Thrown on top of objects, centre of chamber - (see photo 1137). Lid found separate (see No. ).

DIMENSIONS: L. 58.5 x W. 40.0 x H. 37.5 cents. (height does not include lid).

DESCRIPTION: A very roughly made wooden box; frame-work coloured yellow (orpiment) over a dark wood; panels coloured red; interior coloured red. An extension of the four rectangular corner uprights form the four legs upon which it stands. Has knob of a dark wood in front.

Many objects had been thrown helter-skelter into the box - this presumably by the officials when supposed to clear the tomb up after the robbery.
