370, XX. GROUP OF ARROWS

A group of 3 'footed' arrows of (very slightly) 'chested' pattern, i.e. the 'footed' shaft tapers from the beginning of the 'foot' to 'pile'. L. of arrows 57.5 cents; average diam. of shaft 0.65 cents. Made as follows: -

<> Bronze 'pile' tanged. 1.8

<> hard wood 'foot' - tanged 8.2

<> parallel reed shaft 46.5 long; average diam. 0.65 cents bound with narrow strips of this hide ornamented with colours

<> three feathers - 8.0 cent long

<> tanged 'nock' of hard wood 1.0
