449 TWO-HANDLED-OVIFORM VASE (CALCITE)

POSITION:    
Under mass of baskets, etc., centre of floor in front of doorway
of chamber - (see photo 1140).
DIMENSIONS:
Max. H. 35.7 cents.

DESCRIPTION:
A two-handled-oviform vase wrought of calcite
Bowl oviform, with pivot on base for fixing on to stand or foot
(traces of wax luting still visible); cylindrical neck; fairly
wide lip; two broad flat handles with imitative lashing round
neck.
No ornamentation or inscription.

REMARKS:
Contents robbed, slight residue on bottom.
Traces of luting of lid on lip & mouth.
