519. WOODEN KIOSK CONTAINING SHAWABTI-FIGURES

POSITION: Lying on some baskets near W. wall (N. end), its lid (No. 529) nearly under a mass of material (see photos. 1144, 1145 and 1147).

DIMENSIONS: 60.5 cents. high, 20 cents. wide, and 19 cents. deep.

DESCRIPTION: Wooden kiosk upon sledge of rough workmanship, covered with black resin, roof (lid) made of one piece of wood, knob on front of roof and front of kiosk for cord and seal - (missing).

CONTENTS: 16 glazed pottery shawabti-figures (see 519, A-F) and 68 copper miniature agricultural implements (see 519, G).

Note Many of the figures had suffered salts brought and crystallised from infrequent saturation from humidity.
