524 AN OVIFORM VASE (CALCITE)

POSITION: Behind wooden-shawabti-box No. 514 (see photo 1144) and leaning against west wall of chamber (Note This vase is not visible in photo). DIMENSIONS: Max. H. 38.5 cents. Diam. 21.5 cents.

DESCRIPTION: A single-handled-oviform vase, wrought of semi-translucent calcite. Bowl oviform; round base; short neck; small lip; single handle (there are traces of it having originally two handles, the second one having been removed). No ornamentation. No inscription.

REMARKS: Contents robbed - slight residue on bottom. Traces of luting for stopper on lid. Bowl cracked. Lip broken (pieces preserved).
