Sword-stick, the guard of which has been wrenched off.

<> hand & haft - sheathed with sheet gold 18.5 cents bark decoration wood with bark resembling cherry silver ferrule diam. 1.4 diam 1.8 cents gold wire attachment passed through haft total length 66.0 cents.

The shape of the guard (wrenched off) is unknown; there were sufficient fragments adhering to the haft to suggest that it was made of thick hide, strengthened with gold wire, and that it was probably ornamented with the gold open-work guard piece 619, B.
