Sword-stick, the guard of which has been wrenched off.

<> Handle and haft covered with sheet gold wood with bark resembling cherry 21.0 cents. silver ferrule diam. 1.5 cents gold wire attachment, passed through haft. diam. 1.9 cents. Total length 66.0 cents

Nothing is known as to how the guard to haft was made - probably like No. 582, d it was of leather, strengthened with gold wire, and embellished with guard ornament No. 619, C.
