583. LARGE JAR (CALCITE) ORIGINALLY TWO HANDLED

Centre S. end of chamber, resting on floor and leaning against
No. 579 (see photos 1149, 1150).
DIMENSIONS:  
Max. H. 36.8 cents; Max. Diam. 29.2 cents.

DESCRIPTION: 
A large globular, long-necked vase wrought of semi-translucent
calcite.
Bowl globular, with circular foot; long cylindrical neck; narrow
lip; mouth very wide.
Had two loop-shaped handles, which have been carefully removed.
No ornamentation or inscription.

REMARKS:     
No traces of it having had a lid.
No traces of contents, if it every had any.
