603 A LARGE SQUAT-OVIFORM-VASE (CALCITE)

POSITION: Resting upon floor, S.E. corner of chamber, under No. 354 (see photo 1149, vase not visible). DIMENSIONS: Max. H. 27.7 cents; Max. diam. 29.0 cents.

DESCRIPTION: A large squat-oviform-vase wrought in calcite. Bowl squat-oviform; flat bottom; short neck; very wide lip. No ornamentation.

REMARKS: Contents robbed - slight residue on bottom. Traces of pith and linen binding round neck, evidently from linen covering over stopper. Traces of luting for a stopper.
