605. WOODEN KIOSK CONTAINING SHAWABTI FIGURES

POSITION: Lying on side, lid partially open with some of the figures falling out, S.E. corner of chamber, below No. 602 (not visible in photographic records of chamber). DIMENSIONS: 60.5 cents. high, 22 cents. wide, and 22 cents. deep.

DESCRIPTION: WOODEN KIOSK upon sledge, covered with black resin, of rough workmanship, vaulted roof (forming lid) cut out of one piece of wood, knob on front end of roof and front of kiosk for cord and seal. - The seal still intact upon roof; bears double impression of seal of the following device: The recumbent figure of the jackal-like dog Anubis over nine alien foes, arranged one row of three, one row of four, and one row of two, one above the other. (See illustration.)

CONTENTS: 14 stone shawabti-figures (see 605, A to G), and 27 miniature agricultural implements of copper (see 605, H), jostled together one upon the other.
