620-3 BOWL (or cover to a vase) OF CALCITE

A bowl or (?) cover to a vase (note slight projection on centre
of external surface suggesting handle broken off) of translucent
calcite.

Engraved on external surface, a border of garland design, circle
of chequer pattern, and on centre an ornament after the form of
calyx and sepals of the mandrake fruit.

The ornamentation engraved on surface and filled in with dark
