620-1 LID (or cover) OF A VASE (calcite)

A flat disc-shaped calcite lid of a vase - Diam. 13.4; thickness
0.8 cents; made to fit to opening of 10.0, cents.
Luted to top of lid a saucer of thin calcite - diam. 13.0 cents,
in the centre of which a painted wooden gosling, with open wings,
gaping beak and stained ivory tongue; luted to interior of the
saucer are four eggs (calcite): thus representing a nest of four
eggs and a young bird.

Saucer broken in several pieces. (Frag. found in Antechamber)
