620-5 BOOMERANG OF IVORY

BOOMERANG Ivory; carved in relief stained brown and black; gold caps on ends with collar of applied wire rope ornament on edge. L. 50.5; Max. width 3.3; Min. width 2.55; Max. thickness 0.85; cents. Bears on one side the following legend, engraved & filled in with black pigment: <> The following ornament carved in relief on each end of the boomerang & stained red brown & black: -

<> Life Size wire applied gold cap lotus petals lotus mandrake cornflower poppy petals cornflower poppy petals

No. BOOMERANG Same as No. above, but only 50 cents. in length; broken at the end; gold caps partially torn off by thieves, these were recovered in the dust on the floor.
