Handlist description: Double compound bow

48 (i) Two compound bows tied up in cloth.

These were bound with a strip of linen 13.5 wide, wound round & round the two bows, & lightly tied with a single knot at one end.

One of the bows (1) was a double one with bound captives at either end. The other (2) was an ordinary compound bow.
