48 (i 1) Double compound bow.

L. 139.5 W. in centre 2.5 x thickness 1.7: at centre of reverse curve 2.5 x 1.5: below captive figure 1.2 x .8: at shoulders of captive 1.5 x 1.5.

Made of two separate bows laid one upon the other and glued. Measurements represent both together. Whole bow covered with barks, so details of construction not possible to getl. Each bow covered with bark separately to within 7 of ends, where the bark wraps round the two together. The ends were bound captive figures, an Asiatic one end
