Legs

Legs attached solidly to top. Bands of gold at junction of legs 5.2 cm. deep. At top and bottom edges of these thin rings of patterned gold applied. Legs fastened together by pegs running through. These concealed by bosses with gold caps 1.5 cm. in diam. each side, rivetted through. Legs end in duck or geese heads, with open mouth grasping bottom bar, which ran lengthways to the stool. These bottom bars were 3 cm. in diam. Bands of gold 10 cm. at either end. Similar but wider rings to those of leg junction bands.

4 Remarks 1 frag of ivory, 3 gold rivet caps & one eye found in rubbish on floor of first chamber & inserted. (cont.)
