3. Description Seat Upper part had been covered with gold? Panels in corners plant designs (see phot.), 2 of papyrus, 2 of lily. Under part covered with bronze sheeting. This came out to edge, and was pinned; 8 from edge by a row of tiny bronze pins .5 - .8 apart. This bronze sheeting was in four pieces, meeting anglewise at corners, where there was another row of pins. The whole centre panel of the stool had been wrenched out, breaking off at the line of peg holes. Nothing left to show what this had consisted of. Seat curved, being 5.6 off straight line at top edge in centre. Legs. Upper part gesso covered with gold, then plain band of wood(?), then gesso covered with bronze sheeting, pegged on with bronze pins, then wood without gesso covered with gold sheeting, pegged on with gold pins. This lower part decorated with rings carved in relief, arranged in threes, but with four at top.
