252 LINEN SHEET - Covering Coffin. 253

POSITION: Original. Shroud on outer covering of coffin.

DIMENSIONS: L. 2.30, W. 120. metres.

DESCRIPTION: Linen sheet of fairly coarse material in poor state and much darkened. Upon one end the original selvege, the other end torn. Sewn down one side a piece of unknown width.

REMARKS: A linen mark on one corner in (?)hieratic, (?)too much decayed to decipher (preserved separately between glass).
