MATERIAL OF WHICH COMPOSED

Wood covered outside with gesso and gold foil, and inside with silver foil. Small knobs for fastening are silver, a little thread still tied round them. LID inlaid with: Carnelian Calcite Translucent quartz Faience ?or glass (for scarab) Glass blue (light & dark) TREATMENT: Cleaned with warm water ammonia and potassium cyanide.
