289, A. STATUETTE OF THE KING UPON A LEOPARD

Same as No. 289, B. with following exceptions: Staff in left hand = straight without other detail. The sandals of feet are wholly of metal instead of the soles only painted. The inscription on the pedestal reads: <>

The figure of the king is slightly taller.

REMARKS: These two figures (289 a & b) show two different schools; 289, A being more of the Theban, while 289, B distinctly of the El Amarna art.
