298, A. FIGURE OF THE GOD HR.KHENT SKHEM

Covered with a piece of linen. Had wreath around neck and face (but had fallen on pedestal) (see note). Max. H. (including pedestal) 56.8, pedestal 20 x 11.9 x 6.5, cms Hawk headed god in mummy form, carved of wood, gesso-gilt, eyes and facial marks inlaid glass, beak of bronze. Pedestal, varnished with black resin and inscribed with yellow paint: <>
