has a large cabin midships

The stern steering gear comprises one long steering paddle only, which operates on one central upright crutch, fixed into an overhanging cross-beam on stern part of the deck, the shaft of the paddle being passed through the split end of the stern of the ship.

Has a mast midships which was fully rigged and carries a square sail with yards. (Damaged and requires restoration.)

DECORATION: Coloured yellow ochre; stern red; bows and stern ornamented with feather patterns, circles and chequer pattern; the central cabin, a cavetto cornice, outer walls covered with chequer pattern with dado, roof white, a door on either side (stern end); no windows. Steering paddle yellow shaft, white blade, black tip.
