The work of the lid does not quite agree with that of the coffin; neither does the lid close properly on to the coffin. They may be the work of two men working independently on a given design.

On the bottom of the feet is the sign <>evidently the guiding mark (see corresponding mark on the lid of the N. E. jar).

Treatment Cleaned with warm water and ammonia and then with pyridine and acetone. Waxed.
