Left panel- inlaid or veneered barks and applied leather tinted green - hartebeest, oryx, ibex, gazelle and hyena, pierced with arrows, with plants in field. Right panel - inlaid or veneered barks and applied leather tinted green - hartebeests, ibex, and hare, pierced with arrows, with plants in field. Left tapering end of case - (1) a panel of veneered barks, applied leather, minute gilding, and blue and green irridescent beetles' wings - representing the king as a human-headed lion trampling upon an Asiatic and African foe; (2) bands of garland, palmette, and diaper pattern, of veneer barks, applied minute gilding and leather; (3) terminating with a head of a cheetah in violet faience and gilded mane. Right tapering end of case - same as the left end described above, save the king as a lion tramples upon only one of the African foe.

Back of case - covered as far as the encircling patterns at the ends with linen glued to the surface of the wood. Front of case - including the lid (described above), garland pattern of veneered
